Two of Joey's most popular diesel pods are the 400L and the 1000L. They look similar in a product photo but they're built for different jobs. Here's the side-by-side.

Buy the JD400 if...
You run 2–4 vehicles, your weekly diesel burn is under 350L, and you want the pod to live on the ute or trailer.
The JD400 is the best-value pod in the Joey range on a price-per-litre basis at this scale.
Buy the JD1000 if...
You run a depot or a fleet of 5+ vehicles, your weekly burn is over 600L, or you regularly refuel headers, excavators or generators that need fast flow.
The JD1000 ships with the hose reel and water separator that depot work needs as standard — the spec a JD400 owner usually ends up adding 12 months later anyway.
The middle-ground trap
There's no JD600 in the range for a reason: the price-per-litre gap from 400 to 600 isn't worth the weight penalty, and 600L still doesn't justify the hose reel and water separator you'll want.
If you're between sizes, almost everyone is better off going up to the 1000L than down to the 400L. The fuel burn always grows, never shrinks.
